Why is First Aid Important?

What are First Aid Skills to Teach to Children?

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is the most important first aid skill. To perform CPR, teach children to check the victim's pulse and breathing. If no pulse is found, perform 30 compressions in the chest area. Then, give artificial respiration and repeat the process until medical personnel arrive.
