How can I teach my child numbers?

Introducing numbers for kids will be helpful for kids in the future. With numbers, they are able to do math or simply reading calendars and telling time. At the age of 5 to 6, kids are basically able to copy numbers. Number worksheet is helpful for introducing them with numbers. Here are the following ways to teach children about numbers:
1.    Download number worksheet
We can download number worksheet and print it out. The worksheet works similar to tracing pages. We can show them how to write numbers on the number worksheet. Then, let them copy our way. Make sure they connect every dot or dash and follow the direction like we’ve done before so that the shape of the numbers will be shown clearly.
2.    Involve rhymes
This will be a fun way to learn numbers with kids. We can also sing the songs with rhymes about songs. We can choose songs with rhymes about numbers 19 Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed. Rhymes make them memorize the number better. Don't forget to show the particular number with your finger. So, they will know the visual of numbers shown by fingers.
3.    Make the numbers relatable to daily activities
When we want kids to help us doing chores, try to put some numbers as the amount of a certain thing. For instance, we can ask them to pass three bottles of juice.
4.    Use visual aid
We can give examples to them with drawings. For instance, one apple represents number one. The amount of apples is always equal to the amount of numbers. If we want them to write 3, we can draw three apples and let them count.

At what age should a child be able to count to 10?

To know about operations and other kinds of math, children are required to understand numbers first. It's not about the shape or visual of the numbers, but also the value of them. Typically, most children will gain their ability to count from 1 to 10 at the age of 2. At this age, they actually name the numbers loudly. They also memorize the sequence from the smallest to the biggest number. However, they don't really understand the meaning of those numbers and why it has to be sequentially from the smallest. In the range of 2 to 4 years old, children improve their numerical skills by understanding the real concept of numbers and countings significantly.
