A signature is usually simply the name of somebody written in a stylized fashion. That is not really necessary, however. For web graphics, especially logos, illustrations, and graphs, PNG images are ideal. If images are edited and saved multiple times, PNG is also a top choice. For printing, PDF images are ideal, particularly for graphic design, posters, and flyers.
